About Antique
Antique are Nikos Panaiotidis and Elena Paparizou. They were both born in Gothenburg, Sweden but follow their greek roots.

Opa Opa!!

Antique's first album, Mera Me Ti Mera was released in October '99 when Elena was only 17! Mera Me Ti Mera (meaning 'day by day') went Gold and Antique were nominated for a Swedish Grammy under the modern dance category.

Hit singles from the album included 'Opa Opa (yippee yippee) and 'Dinata Dinata' (faster faster) and of course Mera Me Ti Mera.

The album is either Opa Opa or mera Me Ti Mera, depending on which country you buy it from.

The Eurovision Song Contest
Antique were the 2001 entrants into the Eurovision Song Contest for Greece. They performed '(I Would) Die For You' and finished third, which is the highest Greek position to date.

In June 2001 the album '(I Would) Die For You' was released with the video for the title track as a bonus. The hugely popular single 'Follow Me' was released in December 2001 and filled the nightclubs.

The album 'Me Logia Ellinika' was released in 2002 and featured remixes of the popular songs 'Ligo Ligo' (bit by bit) 'Mera Me Ti Mera' 'Dinata Dinata' and 'Opa Opa.' It also includes a duet with katie Garbi, a popular Greek singer title 'Adiko kai Krima'

Antique have released their latest album 'Alli Mia Fora' (once again) on 2nd December 2002 in Greece only. The first single from the new album is 'Moro Mou' (my darling.)

The English version is called Blue Love which has recently been released in Greece aswell as Sweden. There are many rumours about Antique representing Greece again in the Eurovision, I am still looking into this and will tell you as soon as I know XX
